The new Jetsmark School Center, on the outskirts of Pandrup in Denmark, will form a setting and daily life for around 800 pupils and 100 teachers. The School Center will be a multifunctional school, offering exciting and developing facilities for play and learning during the day and cultural and community life in the afternoon and evening hours. Here, it is thought that the school must provide an optimal setting for the various activities and events during days of teaching, while the local cultural and community life also can benefit from the school's facilities, so that a flexible and multi-purpose school is achieved, where both outdoor and indoor areas can be used for as many purposes as possible.
The vision for the new School Centre, designed by the Nordic Office of Architecture and Norconsult, has from the start been to strengthen the connection between the local villages of Pandrup, Kaas and Moseby, where the School Center will be the supporting element for culture and learning, while at the same time strengthening the local identity and becomes a natural meeting point that unites the 3 villages. Located in the heart of the new city park, the Center can accommodate and facilitate a range of activities and events, such as teaching, cultural events, club activities and meetings.
The new building appears open and bright to passers-by and users of the building, where the idea is to create cozy corners, use the building both indoors and outdoors, so that the building is perceived as a connecting element with the surrounding landscape.
Hudevad has supplied radiators for the entire Jetsmark School Center in close collaboration with the architect and consulting engineer, since there was a need for customized solutions that could support the building's vision and purpose. There are, among other things, designed vertical radiators that fit between the building's doors and windows, a choice of benches with an extra focus on high wear resistance and customized color solutions that harmonize with the building's aesthetics, as well as special serial-connected radiator solutions that are customized to low-energy/heat pump solutions.
